Hi I’m Jila.

Pleasure to meet you.

I am a breathwork practitioner, coach, musician and body-worker.  I am also a retired wilderness guide, a shameless chocolate lover, a seeker of truth, and a devoted friend to my two Bali dogs, Piya & Kiya.

After a devastating breakup at the age of 21, I took my first steps on my path of self-inquiry and healing. Conventional therapy helped me understand myself better, but I didn’t actually change the way I was showing up in my life.  I began regular 1:1 breathwork sessions, a dedicated yoga practice, spending large chunks of time in the wilderness and began working therapeutically with students in those settings.  I started chipping away at layers of trauma and limiting beliefs, whilst rediscovering  my creativity, peace, aliveness and connection to spirit.

Over the last 20+ years, I have been on a path of self-inquiry and exploration and lived and worked on four continents. Whilst I completed a facilitator training in Conscious Connected Breathwork in 2013, it was not until 2019 that I fully devoted myself to this path.  I began a year long training with Transformational Breath (including coaching) between the illnesses and deaths of my parents. Breathwork was invaluable in facing and processing this challenging time.  It gave me the strength to be with them through their dying process, the space to grieve; and it brought levity, insight and new connections to my life.  It re-ignited my passion to be of service through my vocal work, coaching & breathwork itself. Their passing has shaped me more than any training or certificate ever could.  My experience holding both of their hands as they took their final breath and traversing the depths of my grief has strengthened my capacity to hold space like no other experience in my life. Since then, nothing that has showed up in a session has felt “too much.”  You are not too much, and all of you is welcome!

Ultimately, breathwork and my life’s journey has helped me:

  • Make greater peace with the past.

  • Consciously make new choices & learn to regulate my nervous system.

  • Live from a place of aliveness and authenticity.

Now, I’m here to walk along side you, as you navigate your own challenges and discover what soul-centered living means for you. Working together you’ll receive support that is compassionate and kind, yet I don’t shy away from asking challenging questions.  I will call you on your shit (with your consent)… not from a place of judgement but from a place of ally-ship.

I am not perfect and don’t expect you to be.  My journey has had many twists and turns, and I am continually learning and growing, as I believe we all are. Life is precious and finite, and I am devoted to my own awakening and to my clients who are committed to doing the work.
